Last week I got on my Daily BD huddle call with the Marketing team and tasked them with - ‘Find out what on earth’s changed with the LinkedIn algorithm and figure out why our engagement has crashed quite so suddenly in the recent weeks’ ….
Not just our posts - even our job adverts weren’t getting the usual deluge of Resumes that we were infact struggling with just a couple of months ago and it was a proper head scratcher …
And days later I stumbled upon this in The Guardian
I really truly don’t want to believe this article but it couldn’t be clearer … and what makes it that much more disappointing is LinkedIn’s less than satisfactory response to the same .
Short of positioning myself as a ‘he/him’, not sure how any of the LinkedIn experts will advise navigating this one - And not sure how this is meant to do any favours to Women Founders with startups working so hard to get their voices heard .
Simply Disgusted - this is meant to be 2025 and the age of AI but some things clearly don’t change . Meanwhile we will continue to fight the good fight as a bootstrapped but successful startup … in every way we can. If anything - this makes me resolute to try even harder 💪
