This was a roller coaster week with a healthy dose of swings and roundabouts …. Ranging from — …. the inane but annoying discovery that another firm in London had decided to gazump our company name - leading to a mad scramble to secure another name, domain name, email, change in logos and all the administrative eye watering chaos that comes with it ….
….straddling 3 time zones from Seattle to India and finding out that the one common window convenient to all falls smack in between school pick up time (thank god for half term for now !) …
….. managing about 11 hours of sleep over 4 days … and still unable to sleep when you hit the bed because all you think of is this … 😵💫
…. Navigating some off the left field curve balls from prospective clients … (good problems to have might I add ) … … posting our first company LinkedIn post and finally talking about what we do (believe me we have been doing it for a bit - just took ages to get it out here ! )
… shaking hands with two partners and welcoming them to our Synaptyx ecosystem … 🙌 And when you come up for air occasionally it’s the festive season in full swing …. and you wind up justifying how as a Woman in AI you still want to observe the festival of Karwachauth … and how you take pride in holding onto an element of your tradition and culture regardless of the optics … and battling the inevitable sceptical questions that come with it … As we prepare our home for Diwali and celebrate Dhan Teras today, I just want to pause and reflect on the exhilarating ride so far and brace for what’s ahead and pray for the perseverance and conviction and thick skin that will be needed to go on that journey … Sending so much love and all our best wishes to one and all … and an extra special shout out to all the Founders out there - dreaming and juggling and persevering and battling and navigating and reinventing and pivoting and worrying and starting again with all their might ….
