It’s the storm before the Christmas calm … it was all systems go in anticipation of losing access to key client stakeholders over the holiday period … complicated by a completely mad 6 city itinerary over 14 days in India which made for some interesting work settings … All the way from Varanasi to the Jim Corbett Tiger reserve and no signal areas in the Himalayas through Delhi to the beautiful ancient walled city of Jaipur to the Sillicon city of Bangalore .
It has been an intense mix of work and family and friends and a lot of playing hard and working hard …

I want to focus on the 16 incredible weeks of our journey to reflect on and if I had to pick anything -I would just zero in on - PEOPLE . Regardless of whether this is your team or partners or clients or all the naysayers - In the end every professional relationship is ultimately about the people underneath and their motivations and fears and aspirations and insecurities and drivers …
If we can just focus on taking time to understand them and making every conversation one that respects their journey and perspective and focusses on mutual understanding and shared wins, it’s sometimes all that takes to cultivate trust … and for a consulting led organisation this is so crucial.
